Session Infomation

Surface integral and boundary element methods provide a powerful framework to solve complex electromagnetic problems. Over the last few years, they have proven instrumental to analyze nanophotonic systems, including plasmonic structures and metasurfaces. This session will review recent developments in those numerical techniques that take advantage of the integral form of Maxwell’s equations, such as the inclusion of complex backgrounds like stratified media or cavities. It will also serve as a forum to discuss the utilization of surface integral and boundary element methods to guide and interpret experiments.
