Session Infomation

This session will present recent advances in the emerging field of nonlinear multimode photonics. The most significant example being provided by multimode and multicore optical fibers: on the one hand, they enable new key technologies such as spatial-divisionmultiplexed fiber optics communications and high-power fiber lasers; on the other hand, they represent an accessible platform for investigating complex nonlinear wave phenomena such as multimode solitons, high-energy supercontinuum generation, spatiotemporal instabilities and Raman or Kerr-induced beam cleanup. Another frontier of multimode nonlinear photonics devices that will be covered by the session involves adding the spatial transverse dimension to microcomb sources for the generation of multi-dimensional optical frequency combs.

Submitted Articles

Note: The following submitted articles are not guaranteed to be scheduled in the final program at this stage. The final presentation type and arranged session will be decided by Technical Program Committee.
