Session Infomation

The purpose of this session is to present the application areas of electrical reflectometry technology. This technology has been extensively studied for the diagnosis and monitoring of electrical cables, where the principle involves injecting an electromagnetic wave and analyzing the reflected echoes at each impedance discontinuity to detect, locate, and characterize faults. Recent literature shows a diversification in the applications of this technology. For example, it has been studied for health diagnostics of systems (batteries, photovoltaic panels, etc.), in surface functionalization (smart textiles), in digital health (cancer detection), and more. Given the wide range of applications for this technology, this session aims to bring together experts in electrical reflectometry technology and present their advancements in the development of this technology across various application fields (batteries, photovoltaics, textiles, etc.).
