Single-pixel imaging (also called computational ghost imaging) is a typical kind of indirect imaging modality. With the illumination or modulation by structured patterns, the image can be reconstructed by the correlation calculation between the structured patterns and light signals detected by a single-pixel detector. With the rise of machine learning and compressive sensing, single-pixel imaging has become a rapid developing field in recent years. It has great potential for a range of applications, including medical imaging, remote sensing, optical encryption, object recognition and classification. This session aims to provide a timely forum for highlighting the most recent progress in single-pixel imaging, showcasing both fundamental research and applications.
